I’m an Asian-American screenwriter, filmmaker and 2018 Nicholl semifinalist with over 12 years of experience creating scripts and films, including an award-winning feature film musical (HOW DO YOU WRITE A JOE SCHERMANN SONG). In 2006, I quit my HR job, cashed out my 401k, and used that $20k to start doing what I love -- telling stories on the screen.
I write drama/comedy wrapped in genre and excel with character-driven stories + banter + female leads. My feature spec ENCOUNTERS (Sci-Fi/Action/Comedy) was a 2018 Nicholl Fellowship Semifinalist and 2018 Script Pipeline Finalist. My spec FRANKIE DAY (Dramedy/Music) was a 2017 Nicholl Fellowship Quarterfinalist and 2018 WeScreenplay Diverse Voices finalist. The latest horror film I co-wrote and directed AMONG US was picked up by Gravitas Ventures.
A team player and creative thinker ready to bring my indie experience and enthusiasm to your projects.
